Distance Learning - B Licence

Cardiff and Vale College’s International Centre for Aerospace Training (ICAT) offer a Part-66 B Licence, through distance learning. Materials, resources and support can be accessed around-the-clock via our website. Revision tutorials are also included to focus your studies.

This enables mechanics and technicians working in the industry to gain the academic modules necessary to become licensed engineers. If you are in the armed forces there is the opportunity to take advantage of the enhanced learning credits scheme, ideally in the three years leading up to the end of their service.

The course is split into three (3) blocks, Core Modules 1, Core Modules 2 and Specialist Modules. Each core module block contains five (5) modules and specialist blocks vary depending on the category of licence you are aiming for. Modules contained in each stage are detailed in the flowchart, available from the bottom of the page.

Fees do not include: Printed Books or Examinations. Printed books can be added to your course as an option. Examination fees will be payable at the point of application.
